A Times Daily article in February of 1992 read Colbert County 65, Cherokee 49 as Andreana Pruitt led the Colbert County Lady Indians with 23 points in defeating their cross county rival. That article was just one of many that highlighted the outstanding career of Andreana as the starting point guard for four consecutive seasons. She graduated from high school in 1993 starring not only in basketball, but was also a valuable member of the volleyball team as well as running track. She was selected to the Class 3A Area 15 All-Area Basketball team in 1991 and again in 1992. She was chosen the Most Valuable Player of the tournament in 1991 and was a member of the All-Area Team in 1992. Andreana was also selected to the All-Area Volleyball team in 1991. She was also chosen to participate in Alabama Upward Bound Summer Olympics in 1992 where her team won the Basketball Championship, the Volleyball Championship and finished first in the 4x400 Relay. Following high school Andreana was awarded a basketball scholarship to the University of New Orleans where she played for four years averaging 9.2 points and 4 rebounds per game.
