The Colbert County Sports Hall of Fame has a total of 244 inductees. Members are selected from nomination by the current CCSHOF Committee and nominations submitted by the public. Each candidate must exhibit excellent moral and ethical behavior as well as demonstrate a level of achievement or service that separates themselves from the ordinary. They must also have achieved honors and recognition which are a credit to themselves, their school and community as well as meet the following eligibility criteria:

 

• Coach – Must have coached a minimum of ten years

 

• Athlete – Must have experienced outstanding achievement and be out of competition on the high school level for a minimum of fifteen years

 

• Other – Anyone who has made an outstanding contribution to the sports field in their respective community
