Jason Pruitt
Inductee
Jason Pruitt is a1998 graduate of Colbert County High School. He was a star basketball and track athlete for the Indians. He earned two high jump State Championships in 1997 and 1998 and was a member of the 1997 3A State Basketball Championship Team. He was named ALL-County and ALL-Area during his high school playing career at Colbert County. Jason went on to play basketball at Calhoun State Community College where in 2000, the Warhawks won the National Junior College Alabama State Championship and played in the National Championship game. He finished his collegiate career with a season at Mississippi Valley State University and a final year at Kentucky State University. Jason spent 11 seasons as a head coach turning multiple programs into title contenders. He coached over 25 players to ALL-Conference recognition. His teams have won two conference championships, two regional championships, and he has been name Conference Coach of the Year five times. He was the head coach at the University of LaVerne, Laverne, California and is currently the women's head basketball coach at Elmhurst University in Elmhurst, Illinois. His record as a head coach is 114-98.
