Thad Flanagan

A 1973 Graduate of Colbert County High School where he lettered for three years alongside fellow inductee, Phil Gargis. Flanagan helped lead the Indians to the 1973 state 3A Championship in football.  In 1972, he was selected as the Birmingham Post-Herald Lineman of the Year and was a member of the First Team All-Southern, All-Star Team with the Orlando Sentinels.

 

Following high school, he was awarded a scholarship to the University of Alabama. Lettering three years, he was selected as the Most Improved Receiver two year running. During his 1976 senior season, Flanagan was chosen as a permanent team captain by his teammates.
