Inductee

Courtney graduated from Colbert County High School in 2004 and Auburn University in 2008. He was outstanding as a three-sport athlete for the Indians playing football, basketball and running track. He earned five varsity letters in football as he was tremendous on both sides of the ball. As a junior he had a total of 83 tackles on defense while gaining 823 yards and five touchdowns on offense. Although his senior season was cut short by an injury, he had at that time recorded 33 solo tackles with 275 yards on 24 carries and 5 touchdowns. Despite the injury he was still a three-star recruit earning a scholarship to Auburn following his high school career. As a member of the Tigers, he was a part of the 2004 undefeated team and a member of the "Fear the Thumb" era teams that defeated Alabama in five consecutive seasons. During his career with the Tigers, he appeared in 33 games with 22 total tackles, five solo tackles and a fumble recovery. He began a coaching career in 2012 and continues to serve as an assistant coach at Colbert County.
