Class of 2020

William was a graduate of Deshler High School in 1988 where he was a letterman in football, basketball and baseball for the Tigers. In football he lettered three years on teams that advanced to the state playoffs each year including the semi-finals during his senior year. He was team Captain of the1987 team, selected to the Times Daily All-Area Team as a wide receiver with 30 interceptions and 12 touchdowns and was named to 4A All-State Team as both a wide receiver and defensive back with 12 interceptions. He also lettered three years in basketball averaging 14.5 points along and 10 rebounds during his senior year as the Tigers advanced to the 4A semi-finals with William being named to the All State Tournament Team. William closed out his high school lettering for four years on the Deshler baseball team with an outstanding pitching record of 35-10 and a batting average of .382 along with 14 homeruns. He was chosen to the times Daily All-Area Team in 1987 and 1988 as well as All-State Honorable Mention. Following high school he went on to play baseball at Brewer state Community College and was named to the 1989 All-NAJCC Team.
