Jill graduated from Colbert Heights High School in 1997 where she lettered six years in softball, five years in volleyball, four years in basketball and three years in track. She led the Lady Cats to the State Softball Championship in 1997 and was the Most Valuable Player in the State Tournament. She was also the team MVP in 1995, 1996 and 1997 and received the Big Blue Award as the Female Athlete of the year for the 1996-1997 school year. Following her outstanding softball career at Colbert Heights she received a scholarship to Northwest Shoals Community College where she was the team's Most Valuable Offensive and Defensive player in 1998. After playing one year at Northwest, Jill moved on to the University of North Alabama to play for the Lady Lions from 1998 through 2001. She was selected the Gulf South Conference Player of the Week in 1999 and 2000, was on the GSC's Academic Honor Roll in 1999 and 2000, on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in 1999 and 2000, All-Gulf South Conference Softball in 2000, Gulf South Conference All-Academic Team in 2000 and was UNA's Female Student Athlete of the Year in 2000-2001. As a member of the Lady Lions softball team, Jill broke six UNA softball records and currently holds two records: most RBI's in a single game and most at bats in a season. Jill is now the softball coach at Muscle Shoals High School and was chosen to coach the North All-Star Softball team in 2011. She was also chosen the Highland Park Elementary Teacher of the year in 2008
