Allen Creasy

Inductee

A graduate of Colbert County High School in Leighton, Allen played football for the Tribe from 1979-1981 and was part of the 1979 State Championship team playing center and defensive end. After high school he went on to attend The University of North Alabama and following college he began his coaching career as an assistant at his alma mater under his dad, Coach Don Creasy. He then went on to become Head Softball Coach and assistant football coach for the Lauderdale County Tigers during the 1989-1991 seasons. Allen then moved on to Decatur High School as defensive coordinator in 1992-1995 where the Red Raiders defense gave up only 99 points with 4 shutouts in 1995. He was then named the Head Football Coach at Athens High School in 2000 and remained in that position until 2015. The Golden Eagles won 100 games during his years as Head Coach with 18 State Playoff wins with a semi-final finish in 2004 and a State Championship in 2006. He coached four future NFL players while coaching; Lee Vickers with the (Ravens, Red Skins, and Eagles), Zek Parker with the (Cardinals), Phillip Rivers with the (Chargers and Colts) and Quez Watkins with the (Eagles).
