Hope graduated from Deshler High School in 2007 where she was an outstanding athlete in both volleyball and basketball. In volleyball she was a team captain and was voted most valuable by her teammates as well as being selected All-County, All-Area, and was on the Elite Eight All-Tournament team. As a member of the Lady Tigers basketball team, she was instrumental in leading the team to four consecutive State Championships from 2003-2006. Hope was selected to the 4-A All-State team three times and was the 4A Player of the Year in 2006 as well as being a finalist for Miss Basketball in Alabama. Hope was the Most Valuable Player in the 2006 4-A State Championship Game in 2006. Following high school, she went on to play for Northwest Shoals Community College from 2007-2008 averaging 8 points per game, 3 rebounds and 2.7 steals. She then went on to Bethesda University in Anaheim, California to finish her basketball career where she was leading the conference in steals before a knee injury ended her season.
