Shannon perkins

Inductee

Shannon was a 1995 graduate of Muscle Shoals High School. She was a three year letter-man in volleyball and a one year in softball and track. As a member of the Trojan Volleyball team Shannon was a member of the 4A State Runner-up Team, selected to the Class 4A All-State Tournament Team, was the 5A All-Tournament MVP and member of the Class 5A All-State Team. After high school Shannon received a volleyball scholarship to Alabama A&M University where she was selected to the Southern Intercollegiate Conference All-Tournament Team, Alabama State All-Tournament Team, All-Southwestern Athletic Conference Team, Athletic Director's Honor Roll and was the Alabama A& M Department of Athletics Most Valuable Player. She capped her many volleyball and scholastic awards off by being named to the Alabama A&M Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011. Following her graduation from A&M Shannon served as an assistant coach in volleyball at Morris Brown College and Clark University in Atlanta before starting a high school coaching career at Muscle Shoals where she is now in her seventh year coaching volleyball and third year coaching girls track.
