Dennis Homan

Class of 2000

A 1964 Graduate of Muscle Shoals High School, Homan lettered in football, basketball and baseball.  In 1964, Homan signed a football scholarship to the University of Alabama where he was an Academic All-American (1965), selected to the All-SEC team (1967), and was MVP in the 1968 Senior Bowl Game for the South.  

 

From 1968-1972, Homan played in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys as well as the Kansas City Chiefs. From 1974-1975, he played for Birmingham in the World Football League.  He has been inducted into the University of Alabama circle of Champions (1998) and the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame (1999).
