beverly robbins

Inductee

Beverly was a 1980 graduate of Deshler High School, she was a basketball standout for Coach Robert Young's Lady Tigers. She led the team to a record of 33-15 during the two years she was a starter on varsity. The Tigers were the Colbert County Champions in 1979 and 1980. In 1980, they were Area Champs and advanced to the State semi-finals. She was All-County and All-Area in both 1979-1980. Beverly was also selected to the All-State Team in 1980. While excelling on the hardwood, she was an outstanding tennis player. In addition to her accomplishments in basketball, she made the All-State Tennis Team in 1978, 1979 and 1980. Following her high school career, she received a tennis and basketball scholarship to the University of North Alabama. Now a successful business woman with Robbins Property Development in the Shoals, she continues to participate in athletics. Beverly is a World-Class Calf Roper with the United States Team Roping Organization which has over 35,000 members. She is currently ranked #16 in the organization's Cruel Girl Standings
