LaQuitta  Briscoe

LaQuitta graduated from Sheffield Highschool in the class of 2005 where she was a gifted athlete in both basketball and track. In track she ran the 100m, 200m, 400m, and was on the 4x100 relay team along with the 4x400 relay team. She was a member of the Lady Bulldogs track team that won the Girls State Track Championship in 2002 and finished as the runner-up in 2003. LaQuitta won the 100 dash, the 200m dash and finished second in the 400m. She also ran leg on the 4x100 relay team that captured first place as well.

In basketball LaQuitta started playing on the varsity as a freshman and was awarded the Hustle Award in her first year in 2002. She went on to be chosen the Best Defensive Player in 2003 and was All-County and All-Area for two consecutive years in 2004 and 2005. She was a member of the Lady Bulldogs squad that won Area Championships in 2002 and 2005, a Regional Championship in 2005 and was a member of the team that went to final Four in 2005. In addition to being a great athlete LaQuitta excelled in the classroom as well and was Sheffield's Female Scholar Athlete in 2005.
