Inductee

A graduate of Deshler High School Dale played football, basketball and baseball during his junior and senior seasons. He had played for Colbert County High School as a sophomore during their State Championship season in 1985. As a member of the Deshler football squad he was responsible for over 20 touchdowns at quarterback during the 1987 season helping to lead the Tigers to 11 consecutive victories. Following high school he attended UNA before transferring to Athens State where he graduated. Upon graduation he was hired by Sparkman High School as an assistant football coach, assistant girls basketball coach and head softball coach. He is currently in his 20th year leading the Senators softball team and has had tremendous success. Under his leadership Sparkman has a 77% winning percentage with a record of 824-247 with five State Championships and two runner-ups. Over 50 of his players have received softball scholarships along with one player in professional fast pitch softball.
