Blair Bowens Woods


Blair Bowens Woods is a graduate of Deshler Heigh School where sh led the Lady Tigers to three consecutive 4A State Basketball Championships. She was selected to the 4A ALL-State Team in 2003, 2004, and 2005. In addition, Blair was chosen to the North/South ALL-Star Team  in 2004, the ASWA Player of the Year, the Alabama- Mississippi ALL-Star team , the McDonald's ALL-American nominee, an d a member of the Alabama Super 5 team (2005). She was also a valuable member of the Deshler Girls Tennis team where she was a State Runner Up in doubles competition in 2005. Following high school, Blair went to Tennessee Tech University where she capped off her four year collegiate career earning ALL-OIVC honors in recognition of an outstanding 2008-2009 season. She averaged 15.2 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game. She was named team MVP in 2009 and became the 24th member of the Tech 1000 Point Club. After college, she became the Deshler Middle School Girls before she transitioned to be the Varsity Head Coach at Muscle Shoals High School. At Muscle Shoals, she led the Trojans to two, Sweet-Sixteen Appearances and had two 6A Area Championships. Blair joins her sister Ashley, as an inductee, into the CCSHOF Class of 2024–– the first ever siblings to be inducted into the same class.
