Amos malone

Amos was instrumental in starting the Little League Baseball program in Tuscumbia, where he also umpired hundreds of games for youngsters that came through the program. Amos umpired Deshler baseball games from 1962 to 1973 and when Deshler was not playing he umpired for Sheffield and Colbert County. He was one of the officers in the first Baseball Association for Colbert, Lauderdale and Franklin Counties. In addition to umpiring, he kept the clock for Deshler football and basketball games for over 25 years. At the age of 69, he shot his age twice in golf and is still an avid golfer today.
