Bill Whitlock
Class of 2001
A graduate of Colbert County High School, Bill Whitlock was a three-sport letterman in football, basketball, and baseball.
He was the head basketball coach at Falkville High School, Sheffield High School and Druid Hills High School, GA where he compiled a record of 201 wins and 89 loses.
Following his high school career as a head basketball coach, Whitlock became the head basketball coach at DeKalb Community College in Atlanta where he coached for nine years completing a record of 172 wins and 85 losses. His 1978 Dekalb team was both state and regional champions. He coached track teams on both the high school and collegiate level as well.
Whitlock is credited for organizing the first track team at Florence State College.
