Walton Wright

Walton Wright had a coaching career spanning from 1934 to 1965.  He coached at Madison County, Falkville, Hackleburg and Sheffield.  He was a 1929 graduate of Russellville High School where he lettered in football, baseball and basketball.  He was also a three-sport athlete for Birmingham Southern and was inducted into the Birmingham Southern Hall of Fame in 1983 as well as the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 1994.  In 1993, the Sheffield High School football stadium was named in his honor.
