Inductee

A graduate of Deshler High School, Harold was an outstanding athlete in football, baseball and wrestling for the Tigers. He helped to lead the football team coached by HOF member John Mothershed to back-to-back State 4A Championships in 1998 and 1999 and he was named to the All-Area and All-State teams both seasons. Additionally he was also chosen to play in Alabama/Mississippi All-Star High School game in 1999 in which he was named a team captain for the Alabama squad. Harold was also an All-State wrestler in 1999 winning an individual heavyweight championship his senior season with a record of 27-2. In that same 1999 season he was named to the All-Area baseball team as a designated hitter after leading the area in home-runs. In 1998 and 1999 he was instrumental in helping the Tigers baseball team reach the semi-finals in 4A. Following his high school career he went on to play at Jacksonville State University where he started all ten games as a freshman in 2000. In 2003 Harold transferred to the University of North Alabama and was the leading tackler for the Lions as they went 13-1 reaching the Division II semi-finals. He was named to the All-Gulf South Conference team in 2003 and was chosen team captain. In 2010 he was named to the University of North Alabama All-Decade Football Team. After graduating from college Harold began coaching football on both the college and high school levels.
