A 2000 graduate of Deshler High School where she was a four year starter for one of Alabama girls basketball premier programs. LaSha helped lead the Lady Tigers to four consecutive Area Championships. During her four high school seasons playing on outstanding teams coached by HOF Coach Jana Killen, she built a outstanding individual resume that would lead to furthering her basketball career on the college level. During her freshman and sophomore seasons she was selected both All-County and All-Area and she followed those two years up with great junior and senior performances. As a junior in 1999 LaSha averaged 20.6 points per game along with 7 rebounds and 177 steals She was selected all-County, All-Area and was an All-State selection. She followed that up with a senior season scoring 23.5 points per game, 8.9 rebounds ans a school record 181 steals. She again was All-County, All-Area and All-State. Following high school she received a basketball scholarship to Northwest Shoals Community College where she averaged 11.3 points per game and 6.2 rebounds during her freshman and sophomore years and then went on to play her final two years for the University of Southeastern Louisiana Lady Cajuns.
