Mondale Bates


Mondale attended Colbert County High School where he was a three sport athlete for the Indians. He helped the Tribe win back- to- back 3A State Football Championships in 1993 and 1994. Hall of Fame Coach  Jimmy Moore made the statement that had Mondale not missed his entire senior season in 1995 with a torn ACL  there could have possible been another championship that year. Mondale was All- Area in both 1993 and 1994 and was an All-State selection in 1994 as well. Following High school he was signed to a football scholarship at Northeast Mississippi Community where he earned All-Region honors for two consecutive years before moving on to Louisiana Tech and then Delta State to complete his college career. Following college he became strength and conditioning coach for Jackson State, Louisiana Tech, and the New York Jets. Mondale is now the Head strength and Conditioning Coach at Biloxi High School overseeing 17 team sports.
