Class of 2009
Kenyatta graduated from Colbert County High School, Itawamba Community College and the University of North Alabama. During his high school career he was a three year letterman rushing for over 5000 yards , scored 40 touchdowns, and was the 1989 4A-6A Area Player of the Year in the Shoals. Following high school he signed a scholarship to Itawamba where in two seasons he rushed for over 2,000 yards, scoring 15 touchdowns, and was selected to the All-Region Junior College team in 1992. As a member of the UNA Lions he capped off a tremendous college career playing on two National Championship Teams and was selected to two All Region Division II Teams. Kenyatta's run of 90 yards is still the longest run from scrimmage in a NCAA Division II National Championship Game. Today he works as a pharmaceutical representative and a volunteer coach for Colbert County High School.
