Brad james

Inductee

Brad graduated from Colbert Heights High School in 1993 where he was and outstanding basketball and baseball player for the Wildcats. He was a four year letter-man in basketball and a six year letter-man in baseball, starting on the varsity team in the 7th grade. He was All-County and All-Area in basketball in 1993. He was All-Area in baseball for the 1991, 1992 and 1993 seasons, along with being selected as the Times Daily Baseball Player of the year in 1992. Brad was the Army Athletic/Academic Award winner in 1993 as a senior. Following high school, Brad signed a baseball scholarship to Calhoun Community College for the 1993-1995 seasons and followed that by signing a scholarship to East Tennessee State University in 1995. He was named to the southern Conference All-Conference Team at shortstop in 1996, batting .319 with 5 home runs, 18 doubles and 31 RBI's. He is currently the Head Basketball Coach and Head Softball Coach at Colbert Heights High School. Brad has also coached the varsity volleyball team and the varsity girl's basketball team. He has over 500 career victories in softball and was named Times Daily Coach of the year in 2000 and 2004. His 2000 softball team was 3A State Runner-Up and 9 players he had coached have signed college scholarships.
