Jermarcus Ricks

Inductee

A graduate of Cobert County High School in 2006 Jermarcus was a standout on the Indians football team as both an offensive and defensive player. He played an instrumental part in leading the team to playoff appearances during his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons and was named to the 3A Al-State team for three consecutive years as well as being selected to the Birmingham News Super All-State team his senior year. He was also picked to play in the North/South All-Star game in Tuscaloosa. At 6-3 and 285 pounds many Division one schools were knocking on Jermarcus' door as he was a highly recruited player nationwide. He eventually chose to sign a scholarship to play for Auburn University. Jermarcus played on the defensive line for the Tigers and gained playing time immediately as a freshman during the 2006 season. He became part of the defensive line regular rotation during his sophomore year playing in all 13 games with Five solo tackles and two assists. Currently Jermarcus is involved in Juvenile drug prevention serving as the Metro Drug Coalition's Youth Initiatives Coordinator in Knoxville, Tennessee.
