Lana Lowry Oliver

Inductee

A 1997 Graduate of Colbert County High School in Leighton, Lana was an instrumental member of Coach Lee Crafts Indian slow pitch softball team during the 1995, 1996 and 1997 seasons. She helped lead the squad in advancing to the elite eight twice and a final four appearance in 1997. She was selected to the Times Daily All-Area Team for three consecutive years while becoming the school's All-Time record leader in softball with a batting average of .596, 74 runs batted in and 8 home-runs. Additionally, she was selected to play in the North-South All-Star Game. Lana was also a member of Colbert County Lady Indians Basketball team and was selected to the All- County and All-Area Teams. Following high school Northwest Shoals Community College signed her to a scholarship where she went on to excel for two years with a career batting average of .529 while collecting 201 hits along with 121 runs scored and 9 home-runs.
