A 1995 graduate of Muscle Shoals High School, Jennifer was an outstanding athlete in basketball, track and tennis for the Lady Trojans. After contributing to the success of the program in all three sports during her sophomore season she missed her entire junior season due to ACL surgery, but bounced back to lead the basketball team to one of its best seasons in school history in 1994-95. It was during that sophomore season that she showed her ability in track and tennis as she won the 800 meters, placed second in the triple jump at the State Track Championships, and was the Area Singles Champion in tennis. During her senior year she helped to lead the team to an outstanding 25-4 season and an Area Championship along with an "Elite 8" finish in the 5A State Basketball tournament. Individual honors that years included being named Times Daily Player of the year, 5A State Player of the year, first team 5A All-State, and selection to play in the Alabama/Mississippi All-Star game.
